St Vincent's East Family Medicine Residency at Christ Health Center

We are a biblically based Family Medicine residency who make disciples of Jesus Christ of all nations starting with our own patients, staff and residents. Our passion is to help you connect with God’s calling on your life. We will expose you to all aspects of the Great Commission and empower you to take next steps as He reveals His plan for your life.

The Lord has a plan for each student. We do not want to imprint our passions on each student but empower them to connect with God's calling on their life wherever that may be. Our family of residents can expect to develop high quality skill sets that can be used to bring the healing and the hope of Christ in any setting, be it rural, urban, domestic, international, inpatient or outpatient. Our faculty have a holistic approach to medical education addressing each learner's unique emotional, physical, mental and spiritual needs.

Our passion is to come along side young healthcare workers and empower them to connect with their God given gifting in order to build God's Kingdom and make disciples of Christ according to His calling on their life. Our residents engage in holistic care for a diverse patient population including urban, rural and immigrant communities in need.

Why should a Christian student apply to your program?

Our passion is to come along side of you and support you as you seek the Lord's plan for your life and prepares you for a life of making disciples of Jesus Christ. Our clinical work includes urban, rural, immigrant and international experiences. We believe these four groups encompass the four groups mentioned in the Great Commission. During your three years with us you will have the opportunity to work with each of these populations and we anticipate the Lord will stir your heart towards one of these groups. We will then help you tailor your training to prepare you for life-long service in the area God has called you to. Long-term community development amongst these groups is very important to us and a pillar of our ministry.

Do you accept/sponsor visas for international students or medical schools?
If so, what kind?

International students of all backgrounds are welcome to do a clinical rotation with us. However, unfortunately our sponsoring institution does not offer J1 Visas at this time.
